The Fulton Software Union Membership System runs on Microsoft Windows 2000 and later. Currently the software is only in use by Canadian unions. The software is used by most sites to track membership and dues, although one site also uses it to track pension deductions.
There are three versions of the system: a single-user version, a multi-user version, and a multi-user hosted version. The single-user version uses a Microsoft Access database. The multi-user version uses a Microsoft SQL Server database and requires that the site have a network server computer. The multi-user hosted version is hosted by a third-party supplier.
The system that we show in the videos and help files is only a sample of the way that your system could work. We normally customize our standard system in the following ways, at a minimum.:
- Types of status for members: active/inactive, member/casual/applicant/non-member, WCB, LTD, Maternity Leave, etc.
- Additional member and employer information as required
- Types of amounts to track: gross pay, dues, refunds, fees, etc.
- Calculation of dues owing: percentage of gross with a minimum/maximum, optionally by employer, flat rate, flat rate by employer, etc.
- Tax Receipt
- Membership Card
