When you pick a value for Type of Selection, you are presented with a form (see below) for entering that particular selection condition. You click on option buttons to select the Operator that you want. Equal is initially selected. You enter one or more values into the Value grid. If you want to enter multiple values, enter just one value per row.
Here are some examples of selection conditions:
Include all members who are active: The Type of Selection is Current Status, the operator is Equal, and the Value is A.
Include all members who are not active: The Type of Selection is Current Status, the operator is Not Equal, and the value is A. Note that in this case you click two boxes to indicate Not Equal: the Not box and the Equal box.
Include all members with names that start with AA or AB: The Type of Selection is Member Name, the operator is Between, and the values are AA—AB.
Include the members with S.I.N. 111-222-333, 222-111-333, 444-555-666: The Type of Selection is S.I.N, the Operator is Equal, and the values are 111-222-333, 222-111-333, 444-555-666. Note that these values for S.I.N. are entered into three rows in the Values grid, one per row.
Include the members who live in cities that start with the word PORT: The Type of Selection is City, the Operator is Like, and the value is PORT*. Please call Fulton Software for more information on using the Like operator.
